Maxi Outcast

The Maxi Outcast 36m slug pellet applicator is designed for large sprayers carrying out frequent slug pellet applications. The applicator represents a major step forward in application technique, with up to three satellite spinning disc units placed along the spray boom.

The system greatly reduces the risk of mis-application due to wind and subsequent crop damage. The spinning disc units are metered from a central 380L hopper, mounted on the front or rear of sprayer, mini cyclones allow the pellets to drop onto discs. Positive displacement metering unit provides an accurate and consistent application, with twelve variable rates for different forward speeds, controlled from within the cab.

Solenoids on the spinner units provide an exact cut-off and start at headlands. Filling of the central hopper is eased by the lowering of the boom to a manageable height. Additional weight on the outer booms is kept to a minimum with lightweight plastic moulded cyclones and the fact cyclones are not holding volume of pellets.
